How to Do It

If preparing your own lemongrass, be sure to cut off the bulbous part on the bottom of the stalk. The stalk itself is edible, but it is tough and chewy, therefore many people choose to remove it before consuming lemongrass.

Why it works

Certain studies showed that Lemongrass has proven to cause cancer cell death through apoptosis after altering the cell’s membrane potential and increasing the reactive oxygen species in the cell. More studies are being done.
