Why it works

The heat from the hot tub helps your joints and muscles relax and brings them temporary pain relief. The heat also increases the blood flow throughout the body and causes blood vessels to dilate which may reduce blood pressure. The act of sitting in the hot tub can be relaxing and meditative.

  • Going into the hot tub at night can help you sleep
  • If the hot tub has chlorinated water breathing it in excessive amounts is not great for you. It is better to go into a tob with salt water or epsom salt;
  • Preferably use a saltwater pool/hot tub or go into a bathtub filled with epsom salt.
